District Wide Kick Off to the Scouting Year!

Rockets, archery, BB Gun Shooting*, Crafts and Camping!

September 30, 2017

Sommer Park, 6329 N Koerner Rd, Edwards, IL

Session 2 1:00 PM - 4:30 PM (Check in: 12:15 -12:50pm)

Camping 5:30 pm (Check in: 4:45 – 5:20pm)

OTHER SESSIONS: There are many sessions, but Pack 3017 will attend the above session as a group. If for any reason you cannot attend that session, you are welcome to attend a different time or location. For additional sessions, go to:

COST:

New Scouts are FREE for day events including free rocket

Returning Scouts: $10 for day events + $5 for rocket kit

Optional Camping: $10 per person

ADULT ATTENDANCE:

Adult attendance is required for Lions (Kindergarten) and Tigers (1st grade). An adult must attend with any Scout attending the camp out. For older boys, adult attendance is strongly encouraged. If you are attending the Sommer Park afternoon session, Pack 3017 leadership will be in attendance. If you are unable to attend with your older Scout, you must stay long enough to register your scout and to check your Scout in with Pack 3017 leadership.

CAMPING:

Camping includes a cookout dinner, snack and breakfast in the morning. Information on food or dietary restriction: Contact Karen Zettler at kbzettler@hotmail.com

Tent camping (bring your own tent). Suggested packing list:

ROCKET LAUNCH:

Rocket kits will be available at our upcoming Pack events or from the District Scout Office (614 NE Madison Avenue in Peoria). Kits are free to new registered Scouts and $5 to returning Scouts. Rockets should be assembled at least 24 hours prior to the Launch to allow it to dry. Motors will be provided at the Launch event.

*PART C NOT REQUIRED

*Lions (kindergarten) will not be able to participate in the BB gun shooting or archery. Other activities will be provided.
