WHO?
Who can join?
Cub Scouts is open to any boy or girl from kindergarten to 5th grade. Though most of our kids are from central Peoria and Peoria Heights, the child may be from any town, school or church. See Troop 140 for boys over 5th grade.
WHERE?
Where do we meet?
The bulk of our meetings are held at Forrest Hill United Methodist Church located at 706 E Forrest Hill in Peoria. We will often schedule adventures that will take us away from the church depending on the activity. Click here for our upcoming events!
WHEN?
When do we meet?
We meet weekly on Monday nights from September to April, then monthly during the months of May to August. Generally, we hold one Pack (whole group) meeting a month and one Pack outing a month. The remaining weeks are reserved for Dens (small, age-specific groups).
HOW MUCH?
How much does it cost?
The fees collected will cover participation in the Pack until the Fall of next year.
Enrollment fee: One time $35 to get started
Annual Membership: $100 due October 18
Optional Scout's Life Magazine: $12
Occasional events throughout the year will have extra costs for participation.
WHAT?
What will my Scout need?
Scout supplies are available at the Scout Store. Your Scout will need a Den Handbook and a uniform shirt and belt to display his awards. Most kids have the neckerchief, slide and hat as well. Kindergarteners wear a t-shirt. The full uniform is described here at www.scouting.org.
